About Tayler

Let me start by saying: yes, my last name really is Onion (like the vegetable).

As a former NCAA Division I student-athlete with a love of leadership development, I am passionate about unlocking human potential and driving high-performance cultures. With over a decade of experience in leadership development, curriculum/program design, and organizational growth, I help individuals and teams elevate their impact.

During my time as a volleyball student-athlete at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I had the opportunity to compete at the highest level while earning Academic All-Big Ten honors. That experience shaped my understanding of discipline, resilience, and the power of high-performing teams—principles that have served as guiding lights for my career.

Since graduating in 2013, I have worked across multiple disciplines in sports, including marketing, corporate partnerships, student-athlete development, curriculum design, and fundraising.

My work has given me a deep understanding of the intersection between leadership, learning, and organizational success. In December 2022, I earned my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida, further sharpening my expertise in developing transformational learning experiences.

Beyond my professional career, I have embraced creative avenues for leadership development and storytelling. In April 2020, I started The Bloom Pod, a podcast that interviewed every day people chasing big dreams. In February 2025 The Bloom Pod evolved into a new show — Hang Time, which focuses on telling the stories of women in sports — athletes, coaches, administrators, and beyond.

Whether working with executives, athletes, students, or teams, my approach centers on helping individuals understand their identities, navigate the complexity of relationships, maximize their strengths, and create meaningful impact — inspiring them to keep blooming in every avenue of their lives.
